Michelle Gengaro is a New York-based book designer specializing in creating covers, jackets, and interiors for both adult and children’s literature. Through years of working as a designer in the publishing industry, she has learned how to create designs that enhance the reading experience of any book, from genre novels to non-fiction, from children’s picture books to teen fiction, working for clients from Big 5 and independent publishers alike. A New York Book Show Award–winner, she always strives to make every book design her best one.
Michelle earned her BFA in illustration from Parsons School of Design: The New School and has done additional studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She has also taught graphic design and typography at Manhattan’s Parsons School of Design.
As an illustrator and fine artist, her watercolors have been shown in galleries in New York, New Jersey, and Nevada.
